AFGC acquires land for the purpose of affordable housing construction and development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Construction and Development
AFGC constructs 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom affordable homes for low- and middle-income families in structured communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. AFGC also is developing 1-bedroom, lower-cost homes to enable to large-scale transition from shack dwellings to formal housing with sustainable infrastructure.
Finance and Sale
AFGC works with leading local banks and professional service organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa markets to provide finance and facilitate access to mortgage capital, thereby enabling the closing and sale of affordable housing at scale.
AFGC has developed and successfully piloted the use of improved construction materials to expedite “build times” while maintaining high quality, thereby accelerating our ability to provide affordable housing solutions.
AFGC remains committed to reducing its environmental impact and promoting the use of more sustainable building practices. Our affordable homes are equipped with solar water heating, prepaid electricity meters and optimal insulation properties. AFGC currently is assessing the use of solar panels in future housing construction to increase reliance on renewable energy resources for home power supply.
